Homeowner Recycling Programs

More and more GE customers are selecting GE Energy Smart®, ENERGY STAR® labeled compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) due to their long life and great energy savings. GE understands that our customers need solutions for properly recycling compact fluorescent light bulbs at their end-of-life.

Recycling is Required by Some State/Local Governments.
States Requiring Recycling: MA, CA, MN, VT, ME, NH, and RI
These states prohibit homeowners from disposing of CFL lamps as normal waste and require them to be recycled. In addition, there may be local county or city disposal restrictions in other states.
