2009 DOE LPW Regulations on Halogen PAR Lamps

Effective July 14, 2012, 40–205W halogen PAR lamps will be regulated by minimum LPW standards.

Refer to the calculator below to determine the minimum initial lumens for each lamp listed.

For spectrally enhanced lamps, like GE Reveal®, LPW requirements are approximately 15% lower.

Examples of lamps not covered by these LPW regulations:
Lamps outside 40W–205W. Specialty lamps, including Colored, Rough/Vibration Service, Shatter Resistant and Heat lamps.
